I’ve not been JUST a TAD BIT OFF my game in the last couple of weeks. And some would say “OFF MY NUT”! But today I think I may have “course corrected” to WHERE I need to be. Having a daughter who spouts random sage wisdom like a savant is TOTALLY ROCKIN’! AND connecting with people of like mind who are sent almost like angels to remind you WHY you are passionate about your purpose is EPIC! Kristin Schmidt, author of “Bring Pretty Back” was a total “God Send” this week. She reminded me that “everything I need is right in front of me”. Gosh I should listen to the wisdom in the songs I write more often. Tee hee. Apparently my daughter IS listening.

Out of the mouths of babes! The other day she launched into this concept and blew me away. I think she’s “got this” life thing pretty well figured out. When I asked her why she came up with it, she said she didn’t know but that it just came to her. Well OK! Great reminder for me. I LOVE my GURU. Some times it is good to step back and get some perspective. This week I found myself in a space of gratitude. At some level I didn’t think my audience would want me to go “there”. I am supposed to be FUNNY and keep us all laughing about our humanity! No. I have made a commitment to keeping it REAL. The depth and range of our emotions is a gift. It is in the great sadness that we more fully understand the gift of great joy. We all have HEROS in our lives. Some are still here. And some are still here on the “invisible”. Either way we are blessed to know and be inspired by such greatness of human spirit and love. Our job is to pay it forward.

This last couple of weeks at camp Elizabeth miraculously found some really FUN girls who are NOT “Psycho”. I love how she could FEEL that she was being “undermined” by the first group of girls. It is SO important “pay attention” to those icky feelings! Our inner guidance system is our TRUE NORTH. And the happy ending is that there are truly fun and good people out there waiting to be friends with us! By the way, all topics are decided upon ahead of time and then shot LIVE with no script. We spend so much time making things complicated that we get in our own way. And we let OTHER people tell us how to make things even MORE complicated! Bahhh! So, Seriously!? It really is simple if we stop to do a heart and a gut check. We know if the answer is Yes or No. If the command is GO or STOP! And especially if the message is “GET OUT!”. Get still. Get centered. Do what YOU do best and focus on THAT. The rest will fall into place. Don’t diminish your talent and focus on falling back on something. Fall forward! Oh, and don’t forget to SHOW UP! XOXO

Inspiration. It comes and goes moment by moment. You can catch it IF you are paying attention. My finest moments have been unexpected. They happen when I am open to the beauty all around me. It happens when I surrender to what IS and look for the lesson or the message. And if I am not paying attention, it streaks through like a flash of light in the blink of an eye. My daughter Elizabeth provides DAILY inspiration and I am grateful. Chloe Gruber is the daughter of my BFF from Junior High. She is the dancer I spoke of in my video and her photos tag the end. Inspiration? Oh we got that covered.

I’ve been told most of my life that I am stuck in my head where my intellect is running the show. In some circles we call that the “Monkey Mind”. That is where our EGOS create endless ERROR messages that keep us frantically in a death spiral of FEAR, LACK and PARANOIA! Lucky for me, I have managed to stay in my heart space with the help of the people I surround myself with. But some days it all goes to hell in a hand basket! It happens to the best of us.
