Working the Red (actually green) carpet of the HOP world premiere for TheGoToMom.TV was more than just dazzling stars!  It was inspiring!  The movie was gorgeous to watch, acted to perfection and an amazing story that riveted us at every turn.  Our “take” on the Green Carpet was a bit unique. We found the “actors” had more to say about advocating against animal cruelty and that the screenwriter started his craft as a kid.  Just like US!  We are grateful to be inspired to stay on our creative path of inspiration and follow our dreams.  Our rating: Two Thumbs UP!

Several years ago I attended a class to help me overcome my obstacles, face my fears and remember who I am.  We were asked to write a poem about ourselves that included all four elements of nature.  I am inspired to post this by a MommyPerks post of a poem about her by her son.  And maybe the never-ending rainstorm in Los Angeles got me thinking too.  When I reread this poem I wrote almost six years ago from my perspective now it makes me smile.  It represents who I want to be every day.  And more importantly, it represents how my husband and daughter see me no matter how I feel about myself.  They LOVE me unconditionally and can see past all of my imperfections and issues.  How grateful I am to be in a place where people who inspire me to be in the fullest expression of who I am surround me.  I am creative.  I am passionate!  I am inspired!  I am a force of nature.

I am

by Susan Kay Wyatt

I am Fire.

I light the way to truth

and warm it’s bitter, frigid sting

With a dazzling glow of loving humor.

I am water.

I softly flow and wash away fear and doubt

with mesmerizing song.

I sparkle and dance in the light of God’s love.

I am wind.

I blow away the dust of yesterday’s regret.

I billow in the sails of a thousand ships

destined for tomorrow.

I am earth.

I am grounded yet I kiss the sky

with mountains of possibility.

I grow and change with every season into beauty.
